Amorositie, aka Katie Morrison, is an Adelaide DJ and curator whose sound centres on dark drum and bass, rollers and deep liquid selections. Her sets balance weight with atmosphere, moving between bass pressure, fluid grooves and emotional shades of DnB. She is also the founder of Wickid Lickwid, an event series supporting the funky, soulful and liquid side of the genre. Its sessions at Ancient World include open decks, giving selectors room to play, meet others and gain experience. Through Wickid Lickwid, Katie has presented artists including Mystic State and Wingz, while collaborating with AirDNB and TMO on parties. Her bookings span VIBE, LRD Sessions, Low Kool Selection and Lucid Shadows, taking her from jungle and drum and bass into dark 140 territory. Appearances for Doof Techno show her range across psytech, hypnotic and bush techno settings. As Amorositie and a promoter, Katie contributes to Adelaide’s bass scene by pairing a musical identity with paths for others to take part.
