Immerse

Immerse is the founder of wavecult and one of the reasons Adelaide has a dark bass scene worth speaking of. She started it as an internet group in 2017, then brought it into the physical world with H3idrun and Arna, and the collective has since become the city's home for the darker, more emotive end of dubstep and drum & bass. Her own sets sit in the same territory. Technical percussion, driving rhythms, and soundscapes carrying equal parts emotion and grit, woven into journeys steeped in ritual and mysticism. She splits her time between Adelaide and Melbourne and is a working part of both scenes. That reach brought about a three way collaboration with Gloam Music and Midnight Request, three femme led bass collectives who met on Melbourne dancefloors and joined forces to host Canada's Abstrakt Sonance in the Low Life basement, powered by Tordenheim Sound. Wavecult's own calendar runs on the pagan wheel, from Darkness at Ancient World through to the Imbolc festival in the bush.
