Arna aka Joshua Beer

Arna is Joshua Beer, an Adelaide DJ twisting the knobs of alchemy and mysticism, layering soundscapes, hypnotic basslines and dark tones. His roots are in dubstep, inspired by the early 2000s sound and its shifts in the 2020s, and after almost a decade of strictly playing 140, drum and bass, halfstep, wave, future garage, techno, IDM, 105 bass music and forest leaked into his sound. Expect sets that are driving, grounding and ceremonial. Working with Wavecult since 2022, he has been at the helm of South Australia’s Imbolc festival and hosted international acts including Truth, Mystic State, A Hundred Drums, Ternion Sound, Kahn and Neek, Hypho, Pav4n and Space Drum Meditation. His studies in hypnosis and the mind-body connection through his practice Pranay.Arna shape how he drops dancefloors into collective experiences, and he explores fast, organic dark psy under the alias Octika.
