Arna aka Joshua Beer

Joshua Beer DJs as Arna — an Adelaide selector and event organiser rooted in the city's bass underground, where dubstep, deep sub-bass and shadowy 140bpm sounds meet something closer to ritual. His SoundCloud bio puts it plainly: transmuting dark sound into dancefloor hypnotherapy. Over three years in the Adelaide bass scene, he has built a reputation for sets that use the dancefloor as a space beyond movement — immersive, haunted, built on contrast. As a core member of Wavecult, he co-runs club nights and multi-day outdoor festivals, sharing lineups with international names including Ternion Sound, Mystic State, Kareful, Ytho and Nomine. His SoundCloud spans live sets from Empyre Fire Festival and Darkness Festival through to the original track Shinui Tzura, released in 2025. He entered Your Shot SA in 2024 and has played venues including Ancient World and The Little Red Door. On the decks and behind the scenes, Arna is one of the people keeping Adelaide's bass underground alive.
