Freq aka Georgia Mihnjak

FREQ is the DJ alias of Georgia Mihnjak, a drum and bass selector with roots in Adelaide who is now based in Melbourne. Her work is tied to community and sound-system culture, both through DJ sets and as a co-creator of Melbourne DnB project STOMP. FREQ's Adelaide appearances show a bass vocabulary spanning drum and bass, dubstep and 140. She joined the Cows with Gun Fingers lineup at The Little Red Door alongside Aetheris, Arna, Counterpart, D-wade, Krita, Soulah and Tzusi, then appeared at wavecult's Lucid Shadows 003 at Ancient World, a night centred on heavyweight dubstep and low frequencies. Her return for Creatures Pizza at Unit Three places her alongside Arachnid, Aubs, Aetheris, Kaizo Trap, Krita and Rinsy Spida in a relaxed DnB gathering featuring open decks and local artists. Through these sets and her organising work in Melbourne, FREQ connects dancefloor-focused bass music with a wider interest in inclusive events, shared spaces and the culture surrounding sound systems.
