Tzusi aka Tristan Hood

Tzusi is Tristan Hood, an Adelaide DJ who describes himself as a lover of anything with a break, plus heavy dubs, subs and wubs. The sets run emotionally charged but energetic, built on deep drum & bass with classic throwbacks folded in and, by his own admission, a wobbly surprise here and there. His SoundCloud runs a numbered recording series that doubles as a diary of where he has played. Number six is his open decks submission for Wickid Lickwid, number fourteen a back to back with SheWild for wavecult's Wandering Water. Edits sit alongside them, among them a flip of Touch Sensitive's Pizza Guy and a bootleg of Mollie Collins. Production is the newer thread and still finding its shape, aimed at deep and soulful layering rather than dancefloor impact. In the clubs, Wickid Lickwid put him on to support Vienna's Wingz at Ancient World, and he played the Cows with Gun Fingers after party at the Little Red Door.
