Hyperfixate is the Adelaide DJ project of Monique Kaye, working across the bass-heavy end of club music with sets that move through drum & bass, jungle, UK garage, grime, 140 and global club sounds. Her mixes favour movement and contrast over staying in one lane, with percussive selections, low-end pressure and fast changes of pace shaping the sound. Since emerging on Adelaide lineups in 2026, Hyperfixate has appeared at Ancient World, Electric Circus, District 84 and Mala Mia, including support for Casey Club, Sophentai and appearances on Fresh 92.7’s FRESH 360 and AirDNB’s VIBE DNB series. Recorded sets and guest mixes have also appeared through My House, GLOSS and WOMP. Away from her own sets, Kaye is involved with fourfourfour, the Adelaide multi-genre bass collective. That connection places Hyperfixate firmly within the city’s newer bass community, both behind the decks and in helping create spaces for local and interstate selectors.
