Prettydark aka Steph Beth and Tayla Mezzino

PRETTYDARK is the Adelaide DJ duo of Steph and Tayla, known for bringing a dark, dirty and underground edge to drum and bass. The pair stepped into public view through the 2024 Adelaide edition of Your Shot, where they finished as runners-up and earned an interstate performance in Sydney. Since then, they have built their place in South Australia’s bass community through club sets, radio appearances and major local events. Both members have been connected with community dance station Fresh 92.7, which has backed their progress and featured them across its programming and celebrations. PRETTYDARK appeared in the drum and bass room at Fresh’s sold-out 27th birthday event in 2025, sharing the bill with established and emerging Adelaide selectors, before joining the station’s Windback Party lineup. Their sets favour weighty basslines, fast rhythms and energetic back-to-back chemistry, with enough range to move between underground rooms, festival-style stages and radio audiences.
