Fresh 92.7

Fresh 92.7 first went to air on 17 March 1998, the result of three friends visiting Melbourne the year before and deciding Adelaide needed a youth dance station of its own. Temporary licences carried it until 2002, when a permanent community licence was finally granted. It has since become the most listened to community broadcaster in South Australia. The organisation runs as a not for profit under Fresh Broadcasters Incorporated, with a volunteer board, a small paid staff and well over a hundred volunteer members. Alongside the on air work it runs an EDM production course, a Book-a-DJ service and the annual Top 92 listener countdown. The events arm gives that roster a room. FRESH 360 marked twenty eight years with a boiler room style takeover of District, fifteen DJs surrounding the crowd, and the Windback Party brings Yolanda Be Cool to Lion Arts Factory with sixteen more behind him.
