Geistare aka Geistare Bubenaite

Geistare Bubenaite is an Adelaide singer, songwriter, rapper and DJ whose music joins alternative dance-pop with soul, electronic production, jazz and blues. Born in Ireland to a Lithuanian family, she moved to Australia at seven and competed in Irish dance at state and world level. Her catalogue includes Overthinking, Foolish, Be Alright, Goodbye and Not Enough, while Lies—first released in 2021 and revisited with producer Krunk! in 2026—pairs her lead vocal with club production. Triple J Unearthed lists Geistare across pop, dance and soul, selecting Foolish as an Artist Pick and publishing a Triple J review in 2025. That year she earned a golden ticket on Australian Idol with a performance combining singing and rap, progressing into the Top 31. Alongside her original work and live singing, Geistare is moving into Adelaide DJ lineups, including Fresh 92.7’s Windback Party with Yolanda Be Cool. Her work connects songwriting, performance and dance-floor music under one artist identity.
