MRQ

MRQ is an Adelaide DJ whose sets are made for the dancefloor, moving across drum and bass, jungle, techno and world club sounds. Rather than staying inside one lane, MRQ connects fast percussion, heavy low end and global rhythms with playful timing and crowd awareness. Their appearances span underground bass nights, queer club events and local showcases, including DnB Friday at Confession and Fresh 92.7’s 360-degree takeover at District 84. MRQ has also become a regular presence around Port Adelaide, performing alongside SNOWH!TE at events such as Purgatory and helping curate nights devoted to non-stop drum and bass. Guest mixes and recorded sets show the same appetite for quick transitions, sharp rhythmic shifts and music that keeps bodies moving. From early use of GarageBand and iPads to performances inside a packed room, MRQ’s path reflects a hands-on love of finding, mixing and sharing club music.
