Kill Your Television aka Jacob Baker

Part of Unison

Also runs: TMO

Kill Your Television is Jacob Baker, known as Jake, an Adelaide DJ whose unadulterated, sexy, minimal and groovy techno has made him a mainstay of the city’s underground. As one of the three resident managers at The Manager’s Office, the Underdale studio and crew he runs alongside Ketracel and Floating Castle, he helps give Adelaide DJs a place to practise, record and play, from open decks at Nevermind to livestreamed sessions on Twitch. On the floor he is a regular at The Basement at Electric Circus, where TMO and Front Room residents go back to back until close, and he has played under Laura King there, on the BRKLYN balcony for Anjunadeep’s Durante and at Doof Techno’s Ancient World nights with Nikki Sig and Lovefromsoph. He went back to back with Ivea at TMO’s Habitat bridge rave and joined Felix Da Housecat and Grooverider on the Glenelg foreshore for A Day at the Beach, bringing the same locked-in groove to every room he plays.
