Nixie aka Nicola Grant

Nixie, aka Nicola Grant, is an Adelaide DJ, producer and vocalist working across melodic house, progressive sounds, soulful electronic music and groove-led club music. Her DJ sets favour warmth, melody and movement, shifting between deeper house, uplifting selections and more progressive territory while keeping a strong emotional thread through the mix. Alongside DJing, Grant writes, produces and sings her own material, combining layered electronics with her own vocals. Her original music moves between ambient house, dance-pop and rhythm-driven electronic production, with influences including Pretty Girl, TSHA, Disclosure, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Kaytranada. Nixie has appeared across Adelaide lineups for GLOSS, The Manager’s Office, Front Room and habitat, placing her comfortably between the city’s house, progressive and independent electronic communities while continuing to develop her own music alongside her work behind the decks.
