Nixie aka Nicola Grant

Nixie is Adelaide producer, vocalist and DJ Nicola Grant, making melodic electronic music that moves between ambient house, soulful dance-pop and groove-led club sounds. Self-taught in production, she combines her own vocals with layered electronics, balancing personal songwriting with the pull of the dancefloor. Her musical reference points include Pretty Girl, TSHA, Disclosure, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Kaytranada, reflecting a taste for melody, atmosphere and rhythm. Released in March 2026, 'Kool Aid' brings that approach into focus: an upbeat song about seeing a relationship clearly after heartbreak and finding the confidence to move on. Grant wrote its music and lyrics and handled production, with Sean Timms credited for mastering. Alongside her original recordings, Nixie has begun building her DJ presence in Adelaide, with an Ancient World booking for habitat. Her work brings together the roles of singer, producer and selector, with an emphasis on euphoric, emotionally driven dance music.
