Hart Flayme aka Chelsea Zerna

Hart Flayme is an Adelaide DJ working two distinct rooms at once. On one side, percussive and tech house with a latin edge; on the other, techno at its darker, more industrial end. There is no bio anywhere explaining the split, and the recordings do the talking instead. The Supersonic Festival set is the house one, seventy seven minutes of club and latin flavoured percussion. XVI 001, from July, runs the other way entirely, an hour and a half of dark, deep and industrial techno, and the numbering suggests it is meant as the first of a series rather than a one off. Between them came The After Party IV at Ancient World, a late night Hindley Street session that ran past the early hours with Eluize, Ninja, Esther Terrestrial and Party Dog. Everything about the presence is minimal: two mixes, eight followers, an Instagram handle and nothing else. The work is being left to speak for itself.
