Ninja

Ninja is a duo, Bel and Sua, originally out of Buenos Aires and now working Adelaide floors. They describe themselves as freeform and disruptive, fusing groove, minimalism and a dark atmosphere, folding psy sounds into hypnotic rhythms with every texture picked deliberately. The stated aim is dance music that manages to be dissonant and fun at the same time. The recorded trail starts in Queensland. Noosa Tunel and Noosa Sunset both come from doofs up there in 2022, joined by In the Van at three in the morning and Climax. Eclectic Halloween followed in 2023, Trancendance in 2024, a vinyl only in store session at Closer Record Store in 2025, and Armada this year. Ancient World has become the local home, with three bookings inside six months: The After Party IV alongside Eluize, Dubvert's Dub Athlete night, and August's Slim Soledad show, the Brazilian artist bringing eclectic club sounds over.
