know.clu aka Max J

know.clu is the project of Naarm-born, Kaurna-based producer, DJ and VJ Max J, also known as SKWAVE and kc. He is the founder and label head of H34VEN0N34RTH, an underground queer electronic collective supporting club music in Adelaide. His selections draw from leftfield bass, hard drum, deconstructed club, electro, footwork, Jersey club and baile funk, shaped by a strong interest in percussion and unexpected rhythmic turns. Since appearing on Resident Advisor listings in 2024, know.clu has played across Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Hobart, with appearances at Ancient World and Sugar. In 2026 he joined woah.motion and Adelaide Ballroom performers for H34VEN0N34RTH’s collaborative set at Adelaide Festival’s Tryp II. He also curated the collective’s first compilation, H34VEN:SENT, contributing “clickbait” to its 30-track survey of experimental electronic music. His work connects DJing, production, visual performance, events and artist support under one independent platform.
