Cookie aka Angela Schilling

DJ Cookie is the club moniker of Angela Schilling, a Thai-Australian DJ, musician, organiser and archivist living on Kaurna Yerta. Active in Adelaide’s DIY music and arts community for more than 15 years, Cookie has toured nationally and internationally while remaining tied to its grassroots culture. Her sets centre bass music, moving through UK funky, garage, two-step, breaks, dub, baile funk and percussive club rhythms, threaded with vocal edits, pop instincts, soul and melody. She is a founding member of OUR YARD, which hosts club nights by and for queer and BIPOC communities, and Big Bao, a collective supporting Asian-Australian artists and creatives. Cookie is part of online station duck! radio, where she broadcasts and helps connect Adelaide’s music communities. In 2026 she made her triple j Mix Up debut with a percussion-heavy guest mix and appeared at Unsound Adelaide, adding to a body of work built around adventurous selections, shared dancefloors and community participation.
