Xela Rae aka Alana Alexander

xela rae (she/they) is a Scottish-Australian DJ and producer based on Kaurna land in Adelaide, South Australia. Known for bass-focused, genre-fluid sets that pull from dubstep, garage, 140, drum & bass and UKG, xela rae has been called an emerging force to watch in the Australian underground scene. Drawing inspiration from a childhood steeped in music across genres, their sound weaves heavy sub frequencies with bouncy percussive elements designed to keep dancefloors moving. From a Keep Hush live set at Electric Circus to supporting high-profile artists including Coki, MPH, Main Phase and Mandidextrous, xela rae shows no signs of slowing down. One half of DJ duo CRA$H OUT and a member of community-driven events collective Sleepwalking Ent, xela rae is as invested in building Adelaide's underground ecosystem as they are in tearing up the floor.
