Dancespace

Dancespace (aka Jake Phillips, also J.Philla) is a long-standing Adelaide DJ and the owner of Electric Circus. A resident at the venue for well over a decade, he is one of the key figures behind the basement club's continued presence in the city's electronic scene. Known for house and bass-focused sets, he is a constant on the room's international nights, and through 2026 alone he shared the basement with Silva Bumpa, X-Coast and Testpress, Dec Duffy, Window Kid, MPH and Mar Vista. Away from it he has played Trouble In Paradise at Rocket Bar & Rooftop with Bullet Tooth and Philip George, Ministry of Sound's Testament at the Old Adelaide Gaol in December 2025, and Cherry's Friday House Party. His 2014 track We Are Through, released through Onelove Recordings, received strong local radio support and charted on Fresh 92.7, followed by the independent single Get Up in 2020.
