Alex Aurae

Alex Aurae is an Adelaide artist, producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and DJ connecting rap, soul, R&B and club music. His original material centres on rich musicianship, soulful melodies and direct self-expression, moving between live performance and electronic settings. He introduced the project in 2023 with “Pray To,” a hip-hop track that received triple j airplay, followed by the soul and R&B single “House a Home.” Both songs appeared on triple j Unearthed, establishing his range. Alex has since worked with Adelaide musicians, appearing with Grace Mensforth on Maybe Hugo’s funk and soul collaboration “Play My Guitar,” which received Unearthed and community-radio support. As a DJ, he has performed on house-focused bills at Rocket Bar and Rooftop, including the No Requests, No Regrets series. Whether producing, singing, playing instruments or selecting records, Alex Aurae treats each format as part of his musical identity, balancing groove, melody and personal expression.
