Blax aka Xander

BlaX is an Adelaide DJ and producer known for fast, high-energy sets moving through hardstyle, hardgroove, techno and drum and bass. Working between 150 and 180 BPM, he favours quick transitions, forceful rhythms and seamless mixing while retaining enough range to shift direction. BlaX also runs BlaX.FM, a mix series pairing his selections with guest sessions from local DJs. The project has passed 27 volumes, featuring artists including Kevin Kitchen, LumberJac, Stranger, HARTT, Divine Gift and Fusion, and provides a record of music circulating through Adelaide’s harder dance community. His production output includes bootlegs, edits and rapid-fire mashups shared through SoundCloud. BlaX also assembled the collaborative Wall Slapping Mashup Pack, bringing together material from FATBOII, INSTNKT, SALZKE, MOGSTEN, JIMMY and himself. Whether presenting his own material or hosting another selector, BlaX’s work is built around speed, impact and a commitment to supporting local producers.
