Finlay Hamish

Finlay Hamish is a Kaurna Land-based DJ, producer and promoter working across progressive house, tech house, acid, deep house and underground electronic music. He founded Mellow Chronics, an Adelaide music and events label that grew from the Mellow Collective and centres on intimate, groove-led parties. Through Mellow, Hamish has organised a series at Ancient World, hosted local selectors and brought interstate guests such as Postponez to Adelaide. His appearances extend beyond those events, with sets at Nevermind, Sugar, the Gala Room, Rascals and Closer Record Store, where a recorded in-store session showed the patient approach behind his selections. Hamish also produces material, with tracks including “We’re In Sink”, “seahorses” and “compressed”, alongside tech-house and deep-house work prepared for the Mellow Chronics label. Whether programming a lineup, playing a club set or sharing a recorded mix, he favours rolling rhythm, acid detail and an unhurried sense of progression.
