Habitat is an Adelaide underground event series founded in 2026 by selectors Ketracel and Zoe G. Born from a shared interest in progressive, hypnotic and psychedelic music, the project centres on deep, “swampy” sounds spanning house, techno, tribal, trance and psytrance. Habitat launched with a free 12-hour rave beneath Lightning Bridge in Bonython Park, running from afternoon into early morning. Presented with The Manager’s Office community and Wild Sound System, the opening event used an all-back-to-back format, pairing Adelaide DJs including Floating Castle, WRM, Yard, Taluka, Maple, Kings Gold, Xela Rae and Krish. The series opened its first lineup through a mix competition and handled free registration through Humanitix. Its stated approach includes leaving no trace, respecting the surrounding land, responsible attendance and a firm no-dickhead policy. Habitat gives Adelaide’s deeper progressive and psychedelic club sounds a dedicated setting beyond the conventional nightclub.
