JVR — Adelaide DJ

JVR

Also runs: Ade Live
JVR is the DJ alias of Javier Pulido, an Adelaide-based selector and co-founder of promoter ADE Live. His sets move across progressive house, melodic techno and tougher techno, linking club music with the driving sound heard across ADE Live events. As both DJ and promoter, Pulido has helped connect Adelaide audiences with touring artists while appearing on their supporting lineups. JVR has played alongside Marcel Dettmann, Market Memories and Rory Marshall at the University Cloisters, and supported John Digweed during his three-hour Lion Arts Factory set. Further bookings include James Zabiela at Mala Mia, Laura King at Electric Circus and Oliver Huntemann at TIA Live. He also performs back-to-back with ANIA and has appeared with Adelaide artists including Solace, Daneles and Ricky Garcia. Online techno mixes date to at least 2014, while later studio work includes a collaboration on the two-track Dialog EP, extending his involvement beyond the booth and into original electronic music.
