Kings Gold aka Jason Petersen

Kings Gold is the techno project of Adelaide DJ and producer Jason Petersen. Active within the city’s underground club community, he is connected with Electric Circus, The Front Room and The Manager’s Office, appearing across late-night events built around local selectors and visiting artists. His sets sit within techno, favouring steady pressure, darker club textures and transitions suited to basement rooms. Kings Gold has supported Deborah De Luca and Reinier Zonneveld at Electric Circus, while continuing to share bills with Adelaide artists such as Solace, Ketracel, Maple, BOE, JVR and Kill Your Television. His production work includes a remix of Checkers and Paul Marshman’s “Follow You,” available through his SoundCloud project. In 2026, he appeared at The Basement and returned for a Laura King headline show, both presented by The Front Room and TMO. These bookings place Kings Gold among the regular contributors helping maintain Adelaide’s small-room techno culture.
