Noddy, aka Josh Fechner, is an Adelaide rave veteran whose story reaches back to the city’s celebrated mid-1990s dance scene. He cut his teeth at Ultraworld and became a resident at Discovery, helping soundtrack a period when Adelaide earned its reputation as Australia’s rave capital. Moving through happy hardcore and into drum and bass, Noddy developed the musical knowledge and crowd-reading instinct that come from decades behind the decks. Vinyl remains central to his identity: his sets draw on collected jungle and DnB classics, delivered with the energy of someone who lived the music’s formative years. Appearances alongside names such as DJ Marky, Roni Size and Grooverider, plus local events including VIBE, MAYDAY and the Discovery reunion, show his continuing place in the culture.
