Adrian Zac

Adrian Zac is a veteran Adelaide DJ whose career reaches back to the formative years of the city’s club culture. Active by the mid-1980s, he emerged alongside figures such as HMC and DJ JoSH, helping establish foundations for Adelaide’s later house, techno and rave communities. Zac became closely associated with Fresh FM, earning recognition for his radio work and for compiling memorable Fresh mix CDs that carried the station’s club sound beyond the airwaves. His sets move through house, club classics, Eurodance, NRG and trance, retaining a connection to music from the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. He remains active through live appearances, radio broadcasts and online mixes, including contributions to Dance Anthems and programming for Vibe Nation. Recent bookings have reunited him with Adelaide veterans at Golden Years, Reunion and club-classics events. Across four decades, Adrian Zac has remained both a working DJ and a link to Adelaide dance music’s earliest club generation.
