Mr S aka Jarrod Sampson

Mr S, the performance name of Jarrod Sampson, has been part of Adelaide’s underground dance community since the early 1990s. His history reaches back to LeRox and continues through the Enchanted Forest era, where his hard-dance sets became tied to major South Australian rave gathering. A recording from Enchanted Forest in 2001 circulated among interstate ravers and remains sought after decades later. He also shared mixing duties with MPK on the Winter Enchanted compilation, centred on hard dance and drum and bass. Across more than three decades, Mr S has retained a music-first approach shaped by vinyl, programming and experience reading rave floors. His later appearances connect that history with Adelaide’s old-school community through Vinyl Destination parties, reunion line-ups and events featuring DJs from several generations. Whether revisiting early club records or pushing harder selections, Mr S provides a link between LeRox, Enchanted and the city’s revival of its rave heritage.
