Devious, aka Chad Bergman, is an Adelaide techno DJ and promoter whose work has shaped South Australia’s rave culture since the late 1990s. Alongside MPK, he co-founded Enchanted Forest, the series launched in 1998 that grew into one of the state’s defining dance events. His standing behind the decks was recognised when he won Adelaide’s Most Popular Techno DJ at the SA Dance Music Awards. Devious is known for hard-edged sets that connect old-school rave pressure with techno, while his range includes hard house, hard trance and hardcore classics. That flexibility places him in warehouses, outdoor parties, reunions and multi-room raves. Appearances include Simply Techno, Dance Floor Heretics’ Underground Sessions, MAYDAY 2.0 and Armageddon, where he plays alongside established names and local artists. From the Enchanted years to today’s underground rooms, Devious remains a DJ and scene builder, carrying experience without softening the physical energy at the centre of his sound.
