Matty B aka Matt Barton

Adelaide DJ Matty B, also known as Matt Barton, has been part of the city’s dance music scene since 2007. Working across house, progressive, trance, electro and melodic techno, he draws on years behind the decks to shape sets with flow and direction. His selections move from warm, groove-led house into deeper progressive passages, uplifting trance and firmer late-night rhythms without losing their thread. Matty B has appeared at Adelaide venues and parties including the Arkaba, Atlantis, Cosmos Club and Nightshade, playing for crews such as Faze One and Dance Floor Heretics. Recent bookings have placed him alongside selectors at Mindshift, eXPEDITIONS and Xmas in July, as well as on support for Nils Hoffmann’s Everlight album tour. Whether playing an extended journey or a focused club set, Matty B favours melodic music with enough drive to hold the floor. His connection to Adelaide nightlife is reflected in sets that respect dance music’s past while remaining open to current sounds.
