BOF, aka Nathan Hughes, is an Adelaide DJ, producer and co-founder of Dance Floor Heretics. His roots reach back to the city’s 1990s rave culture, including Continuous Flow and the secret party Smile, later revisited through the Still Smiling reunion. BOF is known for sharp mixing, blends and bass-forward techno sets that build pressure without losing control of the room. His range extends beyond peak time: Mellow Monday sessions bring out a slower side through relaxed techno and house. With Dance Floor Heretics, he helps run the Underground Session series, connecting early warehouse parties with present-day Adelaide venues and audiences. Appearances span Tales of Techno with CJ Bolland and Thomas Schumacher, Doof Techno, Anthems: Old School Edition and eXPEDITIONS. BOF also records with Dance Floor Heretics, whose debut EP on Urban Kickz featured four techno tracks. Across events, releases and livestreams, he remains focused on rhythm, community and the physical pull of a dancefloor.
