Ultraworld

Ultraworld is a landmark Adelaide rave brand run by DJs MPK and Noddy. Launched with a huge New Year’s Eve party at the Old Adelaide Gaol in 1994, it became one of the city’s defining underground event series, pairing international guests with the DJs and MCs who shaped South Australia’s dance culture. Early editions moved through the Proscenium Warehouse, Heaven and Underdale’s E Building, with line-ups spanning rave, hardcore, techno, jungle and drum & bass. Across its numbered parties and special editions, Ultraworld hosted artists including Force Mass Motion, Michael Wells, Ratty, Ribbz, Nasenbluten, DJ Sy, Lenny Dee, Grooverider and DJ Marky, alongside Adelaide mainstays such as Angu$, Brendon, ATB, HMC, Madness, Andy J, MPK, Noddy, Maestro D, Pab and Rudeboy. The series reached Ultraworld 20 at the Old Adelaide Gaol in 2002 and remained part of the city’s rave network into the mid-2000s, joining Anthems, Stardust and other crews for the collaborative ONE events at St Paul’s.
