DAMC aka David McCann
DAMC is the alias of David Anthony McCann, first run as an Adelaide production and live act from 1992 to 1998. Built around hardware, effects and hands-on studio experimentation, the project moved through techno, rave, hardcore, gabber, breakbeat, happy hardcore, jungle and drum & bass before circling back toward techno. He performed DAMC live at Adelaide clubs, raves and dance parties, with appearances in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart, and the catalogue includes We Are The Future, Funky Jungle, Fortress (Of Bass), Discovery ’95, Feel The Beat, Dark Daze and Beyond Bliss. He also performed as TECHiONE and played keyboards in Bliss, moving to Sydney with the band in 1995. After an eight year break he returned to DJing in late 2016 and is now a Sydney techno DJ, playing the darker, harder side of the music with industrial, EBM, broken beat and rave influences, and hosting the monthly Black+Light show on Fnoob Techno Radio.
