Gunda G is Kym Thomas, and the roots go back to collecting records at the dawn of the eighties. By the end of that decade he was deep in the club scene, and the emerging jungle sound caught him immediately. He spent the pre millennium years playing jungle and drum & bass as Dwell while promoting his own small clubs and parties. From 2000 he set about learning production, and the sets widened out with him, taking in reggae, dancehall, breakbeat, hip hop, electro and jazz, all of it held together by deep bass. Dubstep arrived in 2007 and the Gunda G name with it. Releases followed on One For All and Squinty Bass, and the support list runs from Klute and Icicle through to Ivy Lab, Spectrasoul, Delta Heavy and Sam Binga. Since 2012 he has produced and anchored The BassBin on Fresh 92.7, Adelaide's longest running dubstep and bass music show. He is also one half of Experimental Breaks Collective.
