The BassBin

The BassBin is one of Fresh 92.7’s longest-running specialist programs, broadcasting Adelaide’s underground bass sounds since 2008. Born from the city’s early dubstep movement, the show has grown with bass music itself, moving through dubstep, grime, jungle, drum & bass, garage, footwork, trap and the many sounds that sit between them. Across its history, The BassBin has been shaped by a changing crew of Adelaide DJs while Gunda G has remained a long-running anchor. Guest mixes, new releases, local productions and deeper selections have kept the program connected to both Adelaide’s bass community and developments further afield. Now hosted by Gunda G and L.E.C.N.A., The BassBin remains less about a single genre than a shared obsession with low frequencies, broken rhythms and underground bass music.
