Buffy aka Tobi Carelle

Buffy the DJ is Tobi Carelle, an Adelaide DJ who lists Melbourne as a second home. The name is a recent one. For years the same selector worked as DJ Rare, and that earlier run goes deep through the city's club and bass circuit. The DJ Rare years covered hip hop, RnB and heavier club sounds across Bass Inferno, EventPro, Word on the Street, Tunnel Vision and Rumble, taking in support slots for Godlands on the Thank U 4 Raging tour, Party Thieves and Let's Be Friends, plus rooftop pool parties on the lighter end. The Buffy chapter leans harder into drum & bass. Inbound and AirDNB put the name on the support bill when Bailey played a three hour set across two stages at Zhivago, alongside Fiction, Patch, Rusha and Neisha. Dark Machine Records has since booked Buffy for End of Days at Cloisters Open Air, on a Halloween card headed by ShockOne b2b Aeon Mode, Whiney, Georgie Riot and Freaks & Geeks.
