Skunkwerks aka Bennett

Skunkwerks is Bennett, a drum & bass DJ and producer whose own bio promises sh*t talking, below average banter and music, in roughly that order. The music holds up considerably better than the self assessment does. He works with Newy Bass Crew, the Newcastle collective built around inclusivity, safe spaces and a strict no dickheads policy, whose reach runs right across the east coast festival circuit. That connection puts a Novocastrian in Adelaide rooms rather than the other way around. The productions are mostly reworks, and they range further than the genre suggests. He has rewerked Hilltop Hoods' Fall From The Light, remixed OHCULT's Unleashed Hounds, and given Enigma the same treatment, all of it inside a few months. His Adelaide appearance came in March, on the VIP stage when Inbound and AirDNB brought DJ Bailey over for a three hour set across two stages at Zhivago.
