REE-SEARCH aka Rhys Frew

REE-SEARCH, also known as Rhysy Riddim, is Adelaide producer and DJ Rhys Frew. Working in the heavier corners of bass music, he builds sets around dubstep, riddim and experimental 140, with an emphasis on original productions. His SoundCloud catalogue ranges from short sketches and bootlegs to playlists, showcases and self-produced plates, including “THE OLD RHYSEARCH WOULD,” a six-track 2025 collection featuring Waterboy, BardPlate, GnomeTypeShit and his bootleg of “(It Goes Like) Nanana.” This output has earned him a following in Adelaide’s dubstep community and a place among the city’s emerging bass producers. REE-SEARCH! appeared at tOASt and jam session #1 at Low Life Basement Bar, joining STATYK, Doubtless, step, DV8 and TÅRUNA for a producer-led event where each artist played 30–45 minutes of original material. His music favours weighty low end, sharp sound design and an offbeat sense of humour, while his DJ appearances give unreleased music room to be heard on a full system.
