Bennie Raw aka Ben Rawling

Bennie Raw is a bass selector working out of Kaurna, filed online under the rather more elaborate handle Senor Gorilla Minotaur. The self description runs to a single line: meeting soul mates and twin flames through music. The genre tags he writes for his own mixes are worth quoting because nobody else uses them. Sticky honey grind n bass sits alongside bubbling, frisson, hard dub, bassline and atmospheric drum & bass, which is either a joke or a genuinely useful description of what he plays, and quite possibly both at once. The Bass Bin on Fresh 92.7 has become his regular slot, with recordings from March and November 2025 and again in August. Around those sit a Wickid Lickwid set from When Day Turns To Night, two mix applications for Imbolc, a Low Kool Selection birthday rinse out, and a Phantom Beats recording. In September he plays Ez Now's Spring Mashup in the Ancient World basement.
