DT3 aka Ben Nash

DT3 is the drum and bass alias of Adelaide DJ and producer Ben Nash, whose musical background stretches beyond the booth. He began in bands, playing bass and singing in punk outfit Acid before forming indie rock group Dexter Jones, whose Unique New York EP received MTV, VH1 and Rage exposure and led to support dates with INXS and Hunters & Collectors. Influenced by early-90s jungle and rave alongside rock and metal, Nash later moved into drum and bass, co-hosting Fresh 92.7’s The Ones and Twos for three years and interviewing Icicle and Utah Jazz. As DT3 he has supported DJ Randall, Tantrum Desire and Annix, while building a production catalogue spanning Focuz, the Funk Trust EP, Colours EP and later work with Jane Doe. His releases have charted on Beatport, and in 2024 he registered Purpose Recordings, which issued the Colours / Retrograde vinyl release. DT3 remains active across Adelaide’s drum and bass circuit as both a selector and producer.
