Roil aka Chris Brittain

ROIL is Adelaide DJ Chris Brittain, a selector working across two sides of club music: dark, heavy drum and bass and lighter house and tech-house grooves. He gained attention through the 2025 South Australian edition of Your Shot, where his set combined heavy DNB with an emotional edge and was uploaded to SoundCloud. Since then, ROIL has built experience through club appearances, recorded sets and radio. A live session from BRKLYN captured his house sound, moving through classics, rolling basslines and late-night tech-house, while his drum and bass mixes favour weight, pace and melodic tension. His first radio mix aired on Fresh 92.7’s Too Hot Radio. ROIL has joined Adelaide bills supporting Metrik and T & Sugah at DIVIDE and was selected for the line-up accompanying Pola & Bryson on their Australian tour. He has also played at BRKLYN, Confession in Port Adelaide and community DNB events, placing him among a group of Adelaide DJs moving between house sets and harder bass-focused rooms.
