Merkz aka Josh Evans

Merkz, also styled DJ M3RKZ, is an Adelaide drum and bass selector whose public accounts use the name Josh “Merky” Evans. His sets lean toward heavier DnB, drawing on jump-up, rollers, dancefloor tracks and bass-led edits while retaining deeper selections. Online mixes and playlists cover underground releases, bootlegs and rave favourites. Merkz has been active around Adelaide’s local circuit for several years, with archived appearances including a 2023 Rollerz session alongside Patch. In April 2026 he joined Patch, Mikey and G-Swift at The Little Red Door for Sauce’s celebration of 25 Years of Dispatch Recordings. Headlined by Dispatch founder and Metalheadz manager Ant TC1, the night connected local selectors with one of the genre’s longest-running UK labels and its deep, rolling catalogue. Merkz maintains a SoundCloud archive containing full-length sessions such as SlapperZ DnB Mix and Liquid Flow H20, plus playlists spanning different areas of drum and bass.
