Shorty B aka Luke Bramley

MC Shorty B, aka Luke Bramley, is an Adelaide rave MC with more than two decades behind the microphone. Beginning as an apprentice MC at late-night events, he developed his style within the city’s hard dance community and became associated with System 6. His work centres on hard house, hard trance and uplifting trance, using vocals to reinforce builds, drops and crowd interaction without interrupting a DJ’s flow. Bramley has worked with local and visiting artists, with archived recordings including his performance with hard house DJ Andy Farley at HQ in 2013. He remains active across Adelaide club nights and reunion events, appearing at Revolution with BK, System 6 celebrations, Faze One’s Mindshift and Xmas in July at Cosmos Club. Shorty B has also moved into recorded music, featuring on “Henry Hoover” by Uberjak’d and “Bangin” by Redfin, carrying his voice beyond the live stage. His long connection to Adelaide’s rave community links its earlier hard-dance years with current events.
