Johnny Concept

Johnny Concept is an Adelaide DJ and vocalist who blends DJ sets with live vocals. Singing since the age of six, he started DJing as a teenager in 2001, inspired by Fatboy Slim’s Big Beach Boutique on Brighton Beach, and his sound runs from deep, soulful vocal house to tech house and classics. He played Stereosonic from 2010 to 2013, Planet Cream in 2011 and 2012, and Summadayze NYE and Future Music Festival in 2012, hosted a show on Fresh 92.7 from 2009 to 2015 and has played Bali and Manchester. In the studio he has released Let’s Av It, a remix of DANK’s Wonder Child and a 2013 rework of Pjanoo with Adrian V. In Adelaide he is a mainstay of Beats on Parade, the free-entry nights at The Archer Hotel and the Marion Hotel with live percussion, and he has played Faze One’s Mindshift at Nightshade and long seaside sessions at Bacchus Bar in Henley Beach.
