Johnny Concept

Johnny Concept has been DJing in Adelaide since 2005, twenty years of festivals, weekend residencies and live mixes. The recorded trail carries a fair bit of that history: winter main room sessions from 2012, live sets from Summadayze and Future Music Festival in 2013, and festival session compilations spanning both of those years. The sound has shifted with the decades. The early mixes sit squarely in festival EDM territory, while more recent work runs into tribal, latin and vocal house on one side and dark techno, tech house and bass house on the other. These days he anchors Beats on Parade, the free entry night that fills the Archer and the Marion Hotel with house heaters, dance classics and live percussion, working alongside Charlie Mason, Conspirosy and Jerry Tee. He also plays Faze One's progressive house and techno nights, and long seaside sessions at Bacchus Bar in Henley Beach.
