Undies aka Darren Underwood

Undies is the Adelaide DJ alias of Darren Underwood, a broad-ranging selector whose mixes cross house, trance, techno, disco and old-school rave. His online archive favours themed sessions rather than staying within one narrow sound. Mixcloud uploads include the Afro house and tech house set “Rasta Queen,” the vinyl-led “Trancy Pants Happy Vocal Mix,” an Australia Day funky house session, a Drumcode techno mix and a three-part old-school rave collection created for his 50th celebration. This range allows Undies to move between nostalgic records and newer club material while keeping melody, rhythm and an upbeat atmosphere at the centre of his selections. His interest in Adelaide’s earlier dance culture also connects his work with the records and artists that shaped the scene. In January 2027, Undies joins LickNTouch, ESF, Hustle and Kool T for DISCO, BABY! at The Little Red Door and Winston, bringing his disco, funk and Afro house side to an afternoon and evening dance-floor program.
