Yax aka Joshua Fouyaxis

Yax is Joshua Fouyaxis, an Adelaide techno selector who counts himself as much a promoter as a DJ. Both halves run through Yax Invites, the platform he founded. As a mix series, Yax Invites has passed 259 episodes, handing the guest slot to names including Jorge Watts, fuchsia, Sekye and Ristē, with Yax himself turning up back to back with S4T. As a promoter it puts on Paranoia In The Park, a free open-air techno gathering in the Adelaide Parklands run on BYO and leave no trace terms, with the location released to ticket holders on the day. Behind the decks he keeps company with the city's techno regulars. Paranoia 5 at Cosmos Club brought Justin Muscat down from Sydney, Dance Floor Heretics booked him for Underground Session 5 beneath Dave Pham and Matt Radovich, and he played Cellular Response out in the parklands alongside Nenad and Walrus. Nearly 300 uploads sit on his SoundCloud, most of them other people's sets.
