Tantrum aka Damien Manners

Tantrum is the Adelaide hard-dance alias of Damien “Damo” Manners, with a documented history stretching back more than 20 years. He was part of the new-school hardcore lineup at Anthems: On A Harder Tip in 2005, and a surviving 2007 recording with Ism shows the project active through Adelaide’s mid-2000s rave period. Over time his sets have moved through hardcore, hardstyle and related harder styles, with archived mixes including System 6, Infinity and a Defqon.1 hardcore competition mix. Tantrum later became a regular presence around Project Hardstyle, with recorded sets from its 2022 end-of-year party and 2023 Master of Mayhem event. His long connection to the scene was recognised when Project Hardstyle celebrated 20 years of Tantrum and fellow Adelaide veteran Midnyte. Still active in 2026, he continues to appear on harder-dance bills such as Colours of the Harder Styles, linking Adelaide’s early hardcore generation with the current hardstyle scene.
