Annihilate aka Dean Scaffidi

Annihilate is the Adelaide hard-dance alias of Dean Scaffidi, active since 2005. He began in hardcore before shifting toward hardstyle in 2006, becoming an early local advocate for the sound as it grew in Australia. A major break came in 2009 when he won the Defqon.1 Australia DJ competition and played the festival’s Purple new-talent stage in Sydney. In 2010 he founded Infinity Productions, extending his role from DJ to promoter and helping bring international hard-dance acts to Adelaide. Through the 2010s he remained closely tied to Project Hardstyle, with mixes and appearances alongside artists including Showtek, Zany, Proteus, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Toneshifterz and Sickmode. More recent bookings have kept him active on major local hardstyle bills, including Culture: The Generation of Rave and Project Hardstyle events. Across two decades, Annihilate has stayed focused on the harder end of Adelaide’s club and rave scene, linking hardcore roots with hardstyle, raw and related styles.
