Mokei aka Tim Goddard

Mokei is the Adelaide DJ alias of Tim Goddard, a selector of dark bass music, techno and psytrance. His sets favour weighty low frequencies, tense atmospheres and shifts in pace, moving between deep pressure, broken rhythms and faster psychedelic sounds with a late-night focus. Mokei has become a regular name around Ancient World, appearing at Forbidden Frequency and on wavecult line-ups alongside Taruna, H3idrun, kTraps, Immerse, Arna and Ulfa. He has also represented Adelaide’s bass underground at wavecult’s Hypho and PAV4N event, while his festival appearances include Forbidden Forest’s 2024–25 New Year gathering, which brought together techno, drum and bass, psytrance and dubstep artists. His SoundCloud holds recorded sessions including Mokei @ Forbidden Frequency (Ancient World) and the Nightmix series, documenting his sound outside the club. Mokei’s approach is dark, bass-heavy and suited to small rooms, outdoor systems and listeners who prefer the deeper end of electronic music.
