Zealous aka Chantel Whitfield

Zealous is Chantel Whitfield, an Adelaide DJ and producer who puts equal weight on both halves of the job. The handle she uses across her accounts spells that out, and the catalogue backs it up. Most of her output arrives as free downloads rather than label releases. So Delicious and Angel of Mine sit on the drum & bass side, Raise Up with Taiaha heads into tech trance, and a violin led deep house cut shows the range runs wider than one tempo. Stand Up and Rise came together with Queen B, and she was one of eleven names on the XplicitXmas posse track alongside Jpeg, Jade, AllG and RA Riddums. Her mixes cover similar ground, from Funk N Bass and Back To The Rave through to a set recorded for Step NZ's thirtieth birthday and a live recording off the HiBass tour. On Easter Sunday she played the AirDNB, TMO and Wickid Lickwid day into night party at Mala Mia, on a bill headed by QZB and Charli Brix.
