Frontbar aka Dave O'Hara

Frontbar is the drum and bass alias of Adelaide DJ Dave O’Hara, also known in earlier circles as DJ Troll. A longstanding member of the city’s bass music community, he has been associated with the Rumble crew alongside Bennie Raw and other selectors. His sets draw from the harder side of drum and bass, favouring heavyweight rhythms, forceful low end and mixes designed for packed, late-night rooms. That approach is reflected in recordings such as HardnHeavy on his DJ-Front-Bar SoundCloud page. Frontbar remains active within Adelaide’s grassroots scene, regularly sharing bills with DJs including Weez, Bakup, Vilen, Patch, Fiction and Jules. In May 2026, he appeared at LRD Sessions 2 at The Little Red Door, part of a local lineup presenting drum and bass in an intimate Hindley Street setting. Whether playing an opening session or joining familiar names from Adelaide’s long-running bass network, Frontbar brings years of scene knowledge and a direct, dancefloor-focused selection style.
